Yijing

Yijing or Classic of Change is the world’s oldest and most sophisticated system of “wisdom divination, a powerful tool and spiritual vehicle that can help people navigate the voyage of life. It is designed to help us understand and work with the unconscious forces shaping the situations we confront and to keep us connected with what Eastern philosophers call the Way or Dao, the on-going process of the Real. This can have a profound effect on our lives, a transformation of the way we experience and affect the world we live in.

Yijing has proved to be of great help to spiritual seekers, troubled people facing decisions and people in positions of influence or authority who are looking for a creative and humane way to face the challenges of organization and management. It offers its users a way to connect with the basic transformative energy and creative thought underlying the world we live in.

The Great Enterprise offers ways to understand and learn to use this tradition of personal guidance and creative planning through Lectures, Workshops, Training Seminars and Consultations.

• Lectures provide an entrance to a different way of looking at yourself and your world, through the history, mystery and lore of the world’s oldest and most sophisticated wisdom tradition.   
• Workshops center on giving individuals the practical ability to use Yijing for creative problem solving and personal transformation. They are offered at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels and can be adapted to sit the participant’s specific desires and needs. 
• Training Seminars give a group access to the ongoing use ofTotal Yijing and offer a wide range of reference and support material.
• Consultations for individuals, relationships and groups, provide help, healing and guidance on specific problems through work with an experienced counsellor. 

Who directs the events?

Stephen Karcher, Ph.D. is an internationally known scholar, writer, translator, consultant and initiated diviner with a wide ranging private practice, working with individuals, healing communities and business groups all over the world. He was Director of Research at the Eranos Foundation, Ascona, Switzerland from 1988-1996 and has published many books and articles in the field of comparative mythology, divination, depth psychology and religious experience. Major publications include The Classic Chinese Oracle of Change, The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Divination, I Ching Plain and Simple, The Oracle of Kuan Yin, Goddess of Compassion and Total I Ching: Myths for Change. He holds a doctorate in Comparative Literature and Archetypal Psychology.
